Here's my personal list that fits into an international carry-on and personal item;

Clothing

1. Tops (5):
   • 2 casual shirts
   • 2 lightweight blouses
   • 1 dressy top for evenings
2. Bottoms (3):
   • 1 pair of dressy pants or skirt 
   • 1 pair of capris or shorts
   • 1 pair of lightweight travel pants or leggings
3. Dresses:
   • 1 sundress
   • 1 little black dress
4. Outerwear:
   • 1 lightweight jacket or sweater
5. Undergarments:
   • 7 pairs of underwear
   • 2 bras (1 everyday, 1 sports bra)
   • 3 pairs of socks
6. Sleepwear:
   • 1 of sleepwear
7. Swimwear:
   • 1 - 2 swimsuit

Footwear

1. Comfortable walking shoes (sneakers or flats)
2. Sandals (casual or dressy)
3. Flip-flops and/ or travel slippers

Accessories

1. 3 lightweight colorful scarves - these take up very little space, add color, and extend your wardrobe looks (visiting religious sites)
2. Lightweight crossbody bag or daypack
3. Sunglasses and readers (optional)
4. Hat (optional for sun protection)
5. Jewelry, 3 earring sets, 1 necklace

Toiletries (Travel-Size Only)

1. Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss
2. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash or small soap
3. Face wash and moisturizer
4. Sunscreen
5. Minimal makeup:
   • Tinted moisturizer, mascara, lip balm
6. Deodorant
7. Hairbrush/comb, hair ties, styling tool
8. Razor (if needed)

Electronics

1. Smartphone and charger
2. Travel adapter (optional)
3. Lightweight power bank
4. E-reader, tablet, laptop (optional)
5. Headphones or earbuds (optional)

Documents

1. Passport and photocopy
2. Travel insurance details or app
3. Tickets and reservations (digital or printed)
4. Credit/debit cards
5. Small wallet for cash

Miscellaneous

1. Reusable water bottle
2. Small essential first-aid kit
3. Lightweight packing cubes or compression bags
4. Compact tote or foldable shopping bag (optional)
5. Notebook and pen (optional)

Packing Tips

• Layer and Mix: Choose neutral-colored, mix-and-match pieces. 
• Pack Multi-Purpose Items: Mix and match separates
• Limit Bulk: Wear the heaviest items (jacket and shoes) during travel.
• Do Laundry: Plan for mid-trip washes to cut down on clothing needs. Or bring a small spray bottle of fabric freshener or make a vodka spray.
• Pack a couple dryer sheets to keep your suitcase smelling fresh
