We just returned from the most spectacular family reunion cruise to Alaska, and it’s all thanks to Debbie Allen at Cruise Planners! W/Seniors ask about physical limitations. We tend to hide or minimize. MY fault for not. Being 100% honest about my limits. My ignorance of actual train limits plus my optimism did not help. This was my wife and I's very first cruise. We were overwhelmed with what packages to choose and how to book and even where to go. When I scheduled our appointment with Debbie, I didn't knw what to expect. Debbie was able to identify where and when we wanted to go on our cruise. She answered every questions and even gave us tips on where to go eat, and what to do while on the ship. Without Debbie, we probably wouldn't have even gone on our amazing trip. We went with Debbie and her husband and a few other folks to Tahiti and the Society Island over New Year's. I have to say, she can really put together an amazing trip. Every detail was taken care of, from the man waiting for us at the airport to the personal excursions in the ports. We couldn't have done this without her. I just have to say, I'm so happy I had Debbie plan my cruise vacation for my family of 10 that was scheduled for Spring Break 2020. Our cruise and vacation plans were canceled due to the COVID pandemic. Debbie called immediately to give us our options and took care of everything! I have heard horror stories from two co-workers of sitting on hold for hours and getting disconnected with their online reservations. I appreciate personal service and will be calling Debbie for our next vacation. After 25 years, we decided to officially tie the knot! A friend gave us Debbie's card and said she was the one to call for gay wedding & vacation planning. We are so happy we did! Steve and I had discussed wanting a Tahiti wedding, with all of our family and friends, but really had no idea where to go from there (we are not do it yourself people). We met with Debbie several times to go over all the different options and very personalized details. Everything was (almost) perfect! Which is saying a lot with over 70 guests, from several states and a few with medical and mobility issues. If you are looking to plan an LGBT wedding or vacation, please give Debbie a call. I wanted to surprise my husband with a cruise with all our family and friends for his 65th birthday but had no idea how to pull it off. Debbie got everything organized with a private hidden website for everyone to see the plan and stay organized without the worry of my husband finding out. We got checked in and went to the private meeting room and everyone was there! It was an amazing week and the little extras were so special. Debbie was awesome. I was a first time customer and henceforth will not plan another travel vacation without her.
The Alaska cruise arrangements were perfect. The final "package" we got was super organized and took us through every step from leaving the house to getting home. It really took the stress out of the logistics.
Also, knowing that we had someone who'd been there, done that, knew what we liked and what was worth doing gave us confidence that we had the right cruise line, itinerary, ship, accommodations down to the room number, and excursions.
But wait, there's more. In addition to her experience and knowledge she was relaxed, fun, patient and flexible. Made planning the trip a great experience in and of itself, over and above the actual awesomeness of the trip. Debbie was awesome. Debbie is fantastic!! I have met with her a couple of times. I'm trying to plan something new to take my wife to and I have a few ideas, but I am not a great planner. I once took my wife to Legoland. That was a failure. Debbie is patient as I also get seasick on the ocean, but I am confident that we can find something perfect. I have brochures galore for a nice British Columbia getaway.
If you need someone who knows her stuff, you need to call Debbie. She has been on dozens - yes dozens of ships and knows the good ones and also which ones to avoid. One of the ideas I had was a river cruise through Europe. Perfect I thought I had hit the jackpot with that one. She informed me that at the time I wanted to go the rivers in Europe were so low at that point that the ships didn't move. You were driven by taxi or bus from city to city and then stayed on the boats in drydock.
I would trust nobody else to plan my cruise. She has also done anniversary trips for friends and does an amazing job.

My wife and I went on Debbie's Alaska group cruise in August for two weeks. She made all the arrangements for the flights, hotel, transportation, cruise and excursions. It was flawless and an awesome vacation. The excursion in Ketchikan was the best one I've ever been on. She knew where to eat and what to see in every port . The 20's formal night she put together was so much fun. I really felt like a traveler, not a tourist. My wife and I are signed up for the Mexico group cruise in January.
